The Yellow Rose Bridal Shop offers modest wedding and formal gowns.

Prior to opening for business in February 2008, Julia Kilgore had been formulating the idea behind The Yellow Rose for years.  While she had always encouraged her two daughters to dress modestly, when it came to finding a dress for formal occasions - dances, banquets, weddings - she saw what a difficult task it was.  Not only were the options limited, but those available tended to be dowdy and competely out of style.  Julia knew that simply because one wanted to dress modestly didn't mean they wanted to look old-fashion and out-of-date. 

Julia began to feel even more passionate about making modest dresses more easily available as every year she saw the lengths some young women had to go through in order to wear a modest formal gown - sew their own, add sleeves or wear shrugs.  She knew there was a market for women who didn't need or want to show off every inch of their bodies.  And so, The Yellow Rose began to become a reality. 

Julia felt her shop needed two things: dresses that came with sleeves, as well as modest necklines and hemlines; and a desire to focus on the individual.  At The Yellow Rose, we commit to providing both.
